The Thrive Project – Case Study: The Regency Hall, Saundersfoot 18th March 2024

The THRIVE project is a dynamic skills project funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by Pembrokeshire County Council and delivered by Really Pro to the people of Pembrokeshire.

On 18th March 2024, 8 individuals from Pembrokeshire engaged with the THRIVE project attending L2 Basic life skills & safe use of an AED Defibrillator training at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire supporting local people to become Wellbeing volunteers to be able to support the community.

Ar yr 18fed o Mawrth 2024 ymgysylltodd wyth unigolyn o Sir Benfro â’r prosiect THRIVE gan fynychu hyfforddiant L2 Sgiliau bywyd sylfaenol a defnydd diogel o Ddiffibriliwr AED yn Neuadd y Regency yn Llanusyllt, Sir Benfro yn cefnogi pobl leol i ddod yn wirfoddolwyr Lles i allu cefnogi’r gymuned.

Melanie Nock said “Saving lives, I now feel confident I can do this. An excellent training session, very informative and interesting and developed professionally. I felt fully engaged and informed”.

Sarah Whiddett said “It would be interesting to find out why people attend. What do they want out of the workshop and have they had any experience of having to do CPR etc”.

Other participants on the day included Andy Coppenhall, Nicola Beamand, Jane Bromley- Coppenhall, Peter James, Phillip Lawrence and one other who wished to remain anonymous.

Dywedodd Sarah Whiddett “Byddai’n ddiddorol darganfod pam fod pobl yn mynychu. Beth maen nhw eisiau allan o’r gweithdy ac ydyn nhw wedi cael unrhyw brofiad o orfod gwneud CPR ac ati”.

Roedd cyfranogwyr eraill ar y diwrnod yn cynnwys Andy Coppenhall, Nicola Beamand, Jane Bromley-Coppenhall, Peter James, Phillip Lawrence ac un arall sy’n dymuno aros yn ddienw.


Our friends at Saundersfoot Connect, administrators for a large Facebook group for the area, helped us to promote the free training online and have asked us to come back again soon so that more people in Saundersfoot and surrounding towns can upskill or retrain.
